Don't you just love it when you go and see a band and you get there for a support act that you have never heard of before and they are ace? That's exactly the bracket that Little Comets fall into.

My Bro, Michelle and I went to the see Delphic play at Sankeys in Manchester (they were great – btw). Before they came on four Geordie scamps muscled their way on stage with a washing line stretched above their heads garnered with a varitey of hand held percussive instruments. The lead singer came to the stage to hello to the Sankeys massive and….. nothing. The mic was off. Then an alimighty piercing feedback noise screeched across Manchester bringing tears to the eyes of labradours everywhere. Arghh!

Apart from the slight dodgy technical start, during which time I lost a third of my hearing, they rocked. Hard! If you like Vampire Weekend, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Mystery Jets, MGMT, Cage The Elephant, a bit of Jamie T vocal style in some places and a bit of a boogie then these guys are for you. If you haven't heard of any of these bands then these guys should still be for you.

This tune "Dancing Song" is how they finished their set and at the time was perfect. I love the refrain "this one's for dancing" as if its a reminder for you to shake your stuff. Keep a look out for these guys. Their debut album is due out later in the year and the world will be a better place when that happens!
