Loads of thanks to Michelle for this one! I first heard of these guys late last year after they created a bit of a buzz at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival that is held in Texas every year in spring. I couldn't remember the name though and spent ages on Google looking for "Local People", "Local Boys" and even "Local Heroes"!  The Local Natives are an American Indie Rock Band based in LA and their sound seems to have a myriad of influences. When listen to this song "Airplanes" I can draw parallels with The Shins, The Temper Trap and The Fleet Foxes. You aren't going to rock out to these guys but you with sway nicely. Swaying is a good thing, trust!

This song "Airplanes" comes from their debut album "Gorilla Manor" which came out in November 2009 so can be bought now from all good record stores! K*
